Abstract
OBJECTIVE To compare the variance of Aloe polysaccharide in diverse producing area and different growth phase. The optimal dosage of ethanol was also studied during the course of precipitating.METHODS Coarse Polysaccharide in Aloe gel was precipitated by ethanol. The content of total polysaccharide was determined with phenol sulfuric acid .In addition it was analyzed by IR spectroscopy.RESULTS The content of total polysaccharide is 70.17% and theoptimal dosage is∶ethanol/gel=4.CONCLUSION Both growth phase and prducing area can affect the amount of Aloe polysaccharide.
