Abstract
Objective A comparison study on effect of mifepristone combined with misoprostol on termination of the mid-term gestation. Methods 528 cases of induced abortion in mid-term pregnancy in our hospital were divided it into three groups: mifepristone combined misoprostol group, water-cyst group and ethacridine group. Results The successful induced abortion rate in mifepristone combined with misoprostol(95.36%) is higher than those of the other treatments, and the abortion time is shorter than those of the other groups. Conclusion Mifepristone combined with misoprostol for termination of the mid-term pregnancy is safe, quick, and with lower cost. This abortion formulation should be used in, especially the basic or community hospitals.
