Mifepristone Combined with Misoprostol for Induced Abortion in 12～20 Weeks Gestation

Abstract

Objective To investigate the clinical effect of mifepristone combined with Misoprostol for induced abortion in 12～20 weeks gestation.Wethods 265 cases of induced abortion in 12～20 weeks gestation combined with misoprostol were employed in this study.The retrospective method was used to compare the data of 251 cases in ethacridine group.Results There was a higher percentage as to induced abortion,shorter duration of abortion,markedly decreased amount of bleeding and placental retention rate among Mifepristong combined with Misoprostol group.Conclusion Using Mifepristone combined with Misoprostol terminating in 12～20 weeks gestation is an effective,safe method.There is little pain and complications.It is worthy of being widely used.
