Abstract
Objective: To explore the role of 3-dimensional DSA in the diagnosis of intracranial aneurysms. Methods: Two-dimensional(2-D) and three-dimensional (3-D) angiography was performed on 112 cases of spontaneous subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) from April, 2002 to January, 2004, and the outcome of angiography was analyzed. Results: Following 2-D and 3-D angiography of 112 patients, the results were as follows: 72 cases were confirmed of the disease, with a total of 74 aneurysms; with 3-D DSA,3 cases in 2-D angiography proved to be false negative and two cases were false positive; 8 cases of aneurysms from 2-D images could not clearly display the necks; 4 cases of sac aneurysms were determined to be wide-necked aneurysms. Conclusion: 3-dimentional DSA improved the diagnostic rate and was of great importance for further treatment of intracranial aneurysms.
