Effect of Ivermectin tablet on control parasite in sheep

80 sheeps aged with 1,2 years, natural infection of gastrointestinal nematodes and part of the external parasites were selected and administrate ivermectin tablet according to 0.1, 0.2, 0.3 mg/kg dose injected respectively, while using ivermectin injection as control. The results showed that the negative rate and loss rate of nematodes in gastrointestinal were95.0% and 97.5% respectively under0.2 mg/kg dose of ivermectin tablet after the treatment of 7 d check, killing rate of louse is 100.0% on the sheep jaw. The negative rate of Melophagus is90.0%. Under 0.3 mg/kg dose of ivermectin tablet, Both negative rate and loss rate of nematodes were 100.0%. The killing rate of louse is 100.0% on the sheep jaw. The negative rate of Melophagus is95.0%.Under 0.1 mg/kg dose of ivermectin tablet, the negative rate and loss rate of nematodes were 80.0% and 88.3% respectively. Trials showed that same dose of ivermectin tablet and ivermectin injection were same effectiveness on controlling parasites. Under0.2, 0.3 mg/kg dose of ivermectin tablet is safe and effective on deworming in sheep.
