STUDY ON THE EFFECT OF IVERMECTIN LIPOSOME IN TREATING SWINE SARCOPTIDOSIS

Objective In order to study curative effect of liposomal ivermectin,in treating Swine Sarcoptiasis. Methods The pigs infected Sarcoptes scabiei were divided into 5 groups.Ivermectin liposome and ivermectin were used through subcutaneous injection,then the pigs were observed for 28 days continuously.Group 1 were blank control,Group 2 of pigs were given ivermectin(0.3 mg/kg.BW),Group 3 were high dose liposomal ivermectin(0.3 mg/kg.BW) and Group 4 were low dose liposomal ivermectin(0.075 mg/kg.BW). Results Seven days after injection,the negative rate of group 2 and 3 were 100%,and that of group 4 was 87%.Fourteen days after treatment,the negative rate of group 3 and 4 were 100%,but group 2 was 80%.The negative rate reached 100% in all the groups on the 21th day after injection. Conclusion The results of treatment showed the cure rates of high and low dose ivermectin liposome were significantly higher than invermectin.
