Applications of Philosophical Hermeneutics in Literary Translation Process——Comparative Study between Two Chinese Versions of Moment in Peking

Philosophical hermeneutics and translation study are interrelated.Based on three principles of Gadamer's philosophical hermeneutics-historical understanding,fusion of horizons and effective-history,This paper tries to compare and analyze two chinese translation versions of Moment in Peking written by Lin Yutang,and finds that translator's new horizon is formed by fusing his own horizon with that of traditional horizon.A translator's recreation in target text is thus realized through conversing with the source text.
