Histopathologic change caused by the treatment of psoriasis vulgaris with calcipotriol ointment

Abstract

Aim: To evaluate the histopathologic change caused by the treatment of psoriasis vulgaris with calcipotriol ointment. Methods: Sixty cases were treated with topical calcipotriol ointment (0.005%, twice daily). Histopathologic change was observed before treatment and in the sixth week after treatment. Results: In the sixth week after treatment, Eight cases showed that the psoriatic histopathology was inproved obviously and almost similar to the histological change of normal skin. Conclusion:0.005% calcipotriol ointment was a effective agent for the treatment of psoriasis vulgaris, which can improved the histopathologic change of psoriasis vulgaris.
