Correlation between survivin and high risk human papilloma virus,and the predict value of Survivin in cervical intraepithelial neoplasia and cervical cancer

Objective To investigate the correlation between Survivin and high risk human papilloma virus(HRHPV), and predict value of Survivin in cervical intraepithelial neoplasia(CIN) and squamous cervical cancer(SCC).Methods 80 patients with SCC and 82 patients with CIN(including 15 CINⅠ,27 CINⅡand 40 CINⅢ) were underwent immuno histochemical staining with Survivin antibody and HPV testing using polymerase chain reaction.The correlation between Survivin and HR-HPV was analyzed.Results(1) HR-HPV were associated with CIN and SCC.Linear regression were existed between intensity of Survivin expression and CIN grade(r = 3.11,P0.05),the positive rate of HR-HPV was correlated with clinical stage of SCC(r =3.17,P0.05).(2)The expression rate of Survivin and HR-HPV was 98.7%and 83.8% in SCC.which was 85.4%and 51.2%in CIN respectively,there were significant difference between CIN and SCC(P0.05).(3)There was significant difference between positive expression rate of Survivin and HR-HPV(r =3.51,P0.05). Conclusion Survivin seems to be an early predictor of SCC.It can independently predict types of HR-HPV.Up regulation of Survivin expression was an independent predictor of HR-HPV in cervical lesions.
