Expression and Clinical Significance of p16~(INK4a) and Survivin in Uterine Cervix Cancer and Cervical Intraepithelial Neoplasia

Objective:To evaluation the expression and clinical significance of p16INK4a and Survivin in uterine cervix carcinoma(SCC)and cervical intraepithelial neoplasia(CIN).Method:Immunohistochemical staining S-P method was used to detect the expression of p16INK4a and Survivin in 36 cases SCC、66 cases CIN(20 cases CINⅠ,20 cases CIN Ⅱ、26 cases CINⅢ) and 10 cases normal cervix.Results:①The positive expression of p16INK4a in CINⅠ、CINⅡ、CINⅢ、SCC were 70.00(14/20)、75.00(15/20)、69.23%(18/26)、66.67(24/36)respectively,Pair wise comparison:There was marked difference between CINⅠ、CINⅡ、CIN Ⅲ、SCC and NILM.The differences were statistically obvious(P0.05).②The positive expression of Survivin in CINⅠ、CINⅡ、CINⅢ、SCC were 86.67%(13/15)、100.00%(16/16)、76.92%(10/13)、55.56%(10/18).The positive expression of Survivin the differences were statistically significant(P0.05).There was marked difference between CINⅠ、CINⅡ、CINⅢ、SCC and NILM.The differences were statistically signficant(P0.05).③There were significant positive correlations between the expression of p16INK4a and Survivin in CINⅠand CINⅡ、 CINⅢ.There Was also positive correlation between the expression of p16INK4a and Survivin in SCC,but the correlation has no statistical Significance.Conclusion:Over expression of p16INK4a、Survivin is typical for CIN and SCC.There was no expression in normal cervix.CINⅡ which express p16INK4a、Survivin have malignant pronenesses.Survivin may be used as a sensitive indicate for abnormal proliferation in CIN and SCC.Combined dection of p16INK4a and Survivin may be used as a supplementary test for screening and routine diagnostics of cervical 1esions in clinics.
