Abstract
Objective To analyse the endocrine etiology of breast fibroadenoma in juvenility, and investigate the expression of estrogen receptor(ER), progestogen receptor(PR) and adrenocorticotropic normone(ACTH) in breast fibroadenoma tissue. Methods Twenty cases of breast fibroadenoma were observed retrospectively under the light microscope, and immunohistochemical staining for ER, PR, and ACTH were performed in tumor tissues. Results Positive expression rates for ER, PR and ACTH in fibroadenoma tissue were 60% (12/20), 95%(19/20) and 45%(9/20), respectively. Conclusion ER, PR and ACTH may be the important pathogeny for the occurrence or in pathological process of breast fibroadenoma of juvenility.
