Abstract

The objective of this paper is to learn about the current situation of the poverty-stricken college students' mental health and social support,and to explore the effect of social support upon their mental health.Methods By using the Social Support Rating Scale(SSRS)and Symptom checklist 90(SCL-90)tested 120 poverty-stricken college students.The result shows that the condition of social support and the college students' mental health is good.The correlation between social support and mental health was significant.The correlation between subjective social support and mental health was significant,but the correlation between the objective social support and mental health and between the use of support and mental health was not significant.Social support,especially the subjective social support has great influence upon the poverty-stricken college students' mental health.
