Abstract
Objective To investigate effect of leaf of persimmon oral solution on serum lipid levels of rats with experimental hyperlipemia. Methods Rats were fed on high fat forage for 2 weeks to make the model of hyperlipemia, two of the model groups were orally given leaf of persimmon oral solution in doses of 25 and 100 mg/kg of body weight respectively. Serum levels of total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) and low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) were assayed before and after 1 and 2 weeks of administration. Results Levels of serum TG, TG, LDL-C were lowered and HDL-C were increased in the two dosage groups. Conclusion Leaf of persimmon oral solution could lower serum lipid in rats with hyperlipemia.
