Abstract
Isoamyl chloroacetate is synthesized from chloroacetic acid and isoamyl alcohol with mordenite as catalyst and benzene as water carrying agent under the irradiation of microwave. Various kinds of factors are to reflecting the importance of reaction is: microwave power the mole ratio of alcohol to acidirradiation timethe amounts of catalyst. Meanwhile, the optimum operation conditions obtained by orthogonal experiment are as follows: microwave power is 585 W, irradiation time is 30 min, the amounts of catalyst is 1.5% of feed stock, mole ratio of alcohol to acid is (1.5∶1), the yield of isoamyl chloroacetate is 93.2%. Comparing with conventional heating method, the heating time under microwave irradiation is less than 1/14 of the former. The results of XRD indicate that microwave irradiation does not destruct the structure of zeolite.
