Abstract
With solid acid as a catalyst and microwave irradiation, chloroacetic acid and ethyl alcohol were directly synthesized into ethyl chloroacecate. The amount of catalyst, the different catalyst, microwave irradiation power and time for the conversion rate were examined. The optimum reaction conditions were as follows. The amount of chloroacetic acid and the amount of ethyl alcohol were 9.45 g,20 ml,microwave irradiation power and time were 700 w and 30 min, respectively. The weight of catalyst was 1 g of 2 M of solid acid. The yield under the condition was 72.4%.
