Abstract

Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy of hemoperfusion(HP)in the treatment of acute severe organophosphorus poisoning(AOPP).Methods Data of 60 patients with AOPP were analyzed retrospectively. These patients were divided into drug treatment group(n=30)and HP treatment group(n=30).All patients were given routine gastric lavage, atropine, cholinesterase(CHE)resurrection agent, artificial respiratory support, and treatment for lung edema and brain edema. In addition, patients in HP treatment group were treated with HP.Clinical efficacy was compared between the two groups. Results Compared with drug treatment group,HP treatment significantly reduced the coma duration, hospital stay,24-hour blood cholinesterase levels, mechanical ventilation time, time to CHE restoration to 50% and total amount of atropine, and markedly increased the cure rate(P0.05).Only mild adverse reactions occurred in HP treatment group. Conclusion HP treatment can help patients smoothly live through the dangerous period based on comprehensive treatment for AOPP.
