Abstract

Objective To investigate the relation between CRP, IL -6 and different type of acute cerebral infarction ( ACI) , and explore the role of CRP and IL -6 in the developing process of acute cerebral infarction. Methods 62 cases with ACI were divided into progressive stroke (32cases) and complete stroke (30cases) according to clinical type. 30 healthy cases were chosen as control group. CRP and IL -6 were detected within 24 hours after attack. Results The levels of CRP and IL -6 in progressive stroke and complete stroke were higher than that of the control group and the serum levels of progressive stroke were higher than that of complete stroke. The two groups have the significant difference in the HRT's abnormity (P0. 01). Conclusion Inflammatory reaction and immune reaction could participate in the pathogenesis of ACI. The levels of CRP and IL - 6 were related with clinical types of ACI.
