Abstract

Objective To study the protective effect of shuganjianpifang( SGJP) on carbon tetrachloride- induced chemical liver injury. Methods The mice are randomly divided into six groups: The Control,The model,The SGJP( 7. 8,15. 6,31. 2 g/kg),The BP. The SGJP were given by avage,1 times a day for 10 days. After being given drug for 8 hours, the Model were induced by injection of carbon 0. 1% tetrachloride- olive oil solution( 0. 1 mL /10 g) by intraperitoneal injection. After being given drug for 10 days, the ALT and the AST were assayed by spectrophotometry. The SOD,MDA,GSH were examined by Colorimetric methods. The liver index were also examined. The histopathologic changes of the hepatic tissues were observed by the HE stained method. Results The liver index, the ALT level, the AST level and the MDA level were decreased by SGJP( 15. 6,31. 2 g / kg). The SOD level and the GSH level were increased by SGJP. Moreover, the degree of the liver injury were also inhibited by SGJP. Conclusions SGJP is a significantly protective drug in chemical liver injury mice.
