Abstract
AIM: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Qidantongmai tablet (QDTMT) in the treatment of angina pectoris caused by coronary heart disease. METHODS: A total of 208 patients were randomly assigned to QDTMT group (n=105)and Yangxinshi tablet (YXST) group(n=103). QDTMT 4 pills and YXST 2 pills had been taken 3 times a day for 28 d to different groups with angina pectoris caused by coronary heart disease. RESULTS: In QDTMT group, the total effective rate for angina pectoris was 78.64% and for traditional Chinese medicine symptoms was 91.26%,and the total improvement rate of electrocardiogram was 45.63%. In YXST group, the total effective rate for angina pectoris was 71.57% and for traditional Chinese medicine symptoms was 86.40%,and the total improvement rate of electrocardiogram was 33.98%. CONCLUSION: QDTMT was not only effective in the treatment of angina pectoris caused by coronary heart disease, but also safe to patients.
