Abstract
Objective: To observe the efficacy and the safety of Dinoprostone suppositories and oxytocin used for induction of term pregnancy.Methods: 300 pregnant women who had prenatal examined and delivered in our hospital were randomly divided into two groups: 150 cases as the observation group using dinoprostone and the other cases as the control group with oxytocin,and they were compared in cervical Bishop score,labor progress,newborn Apgar mark and postpartum bleeding.Results: The women who had dinoprostone after 12 houes whose cervical Bishop score increased by ≥ 3 points accounted for 70%(105 cases) in the the observation group,and 14%(21cases) in the control group;those increased by ≥ 2 points and by2 points accounted for 28%(42 cases) and 2%(3 cases) in the the observation group,and22%(33cases) and 64%(96 cases) in the control group.The Bishop scores in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P 0.05).The total stage of labor in the observation group was 7.12±1.25 h,which was significantly shorter than that of controls14.1±3.08h(P 0.01).The rate of normal labor through vagina in the observation group was 92.0%(138cases),which was higher than that of 64.0%(96cases) in the control group(P0.01).Conclusion: Dinoprostone for induction of labor in late pregnancy can improve the progress of labor,increase the cervical scores and the rate of normal labor,and has better results than oxytocin,which can be used safely and effectively in clinic.
