Abstract

Objective To investigate the effect of Buyanghuawu decoction on IL-6 and TNF-α in serum of patient of early diabetic nephropathy. Methods 60 cases of early diabetic nephropathy were randomly divided into two control group, which was treated by conventional western medicine, and treatment group(n=30),which was treated by Buyanghuawu decoction combined with conventional western medicine.24 h urine protein,IL-6 and TNF-α were measured four weeks after treatment. Results There were obvious differenced between before and after treatment on 24 h urine protein,IL-6 and TNF-α in two groups(P0.05,P0.01).The levels of 24 h urine protein,IL-6 and TNF-α in treatment group were decreased in comparison with those in control group after treatment(P0.05).Conclusion Buyanghuawu decoction can decrease urinary microalbumin in patients of early diabetic nephropathy, its mechanism may be related to down regulate the level of serum inflammatory factors IL-6 and TNF-α.
