Determination of Gliclazide in Gliclazide capsules by HPLC

Abstract

OBJECTIVE To establish a HPLC method for determination ofgliclazide in Gliclazide capsules.METHODS The ZORBAX SB-C18(5μm,4.6mm×150mm) was used with the mobile phase of water～0.2% glacialacetic acid(60∶40).the flow rate was 1.0mL·min-1 and the detection wavelength was 228nm.RESULTS The linear range of gliclazide was 9.7～77.6μg·mL-1(r=0.9998),The average recoveries were 99.5%,RSD was 0.7%(n=6).CONCLUSION The method was simple rapid and accurate.It can be used for the quality control of Gliclazide capsules.
