Determination of the gliclazide in gliclazide extended-release tablets by HPLC

Abstract

Objective To establish a HPLC method for the gliclazide in gliclazide extended-release tablets.Methods A Alletch ODS2 column(5 μm,4.6 mm×250 mm)was used with mobile phase of Methnol-Water(60:40,pH=3.3)and detected at 228 nm.Results The calibration curve is linear during the range 0.6～6 μg/ml,r=0.999 1.The average recovery was 99.18%.Conclusion The method is suitable for the determination of gliclazide in gliclazide extended-release tablets.
