Treating 30 Cases of Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy with Hypoglycemic Tongbi Powder

[Objective]To observed the efficacy of the treatment on Diabetic peripheral neuropathy based on the western medicine combined with self institute Hypoglycemic Tongbi powder.[Methods]60 patients with Type 2 Diabetes were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group and each group were 30 patients.Based on the died control and hypoglycemic drugs cure,the control group were treated with Vitamin B2 and Mecobalamin tablets,the treatment group were treated with Vitamin B2 and Mecobalamin tablets.Both groups were used the drugs for 4 weeks,to observed the cure effect,clinical manifestations integral,the change of motor nerve conduction velocity and Sensory nerve conduction velocity before and after treatment,the level of the Insulin-like growth factor-1.[Results]90% of treatment group had effects,73.3% of control group had effects,there were significant differences(P0.05)treatment group better than the control group;the integral of 2 groups were clearly decreased after treatment,compared with the situation before treatment.there were significant differences(P0.01)treatment group better than the control group;the compared between motor nerve conduction velocity and Sensory nerve conduction velocity of 2 groups,there were significant differences(P0.05 or P0.01)treatment group better than the control group;the 2 groups both increase the Insulin-like growth factor-1,there were significant differences(P0.05)treatment group better than the control group.[Conclusion]Hypoglycemic Tongbi powder combined with western medicine to treatment Diabetic peripheral neuropathy has Significant treatment effect.
