Association of the plasma levels of C-reaction protein with high-normal blood pressure

Objective To study the association between the plasma levels of C-reaction protein(CRP)and prehypertension.Method We selected 600 subjects with physical examination and divided then into two groups,which was 300 subjects with optimal blood pressure and 300 subjects with prehypertension.The plasma levels of CRP was determined and stastic analysis.Results As compared with the control group,The plasma levels of CRP of prehypertension group was obviously higher than that in the control group(P0.05).Conclusions There was significantly association between between the plasma levels of CRP and prehypertension,suggesting a role of inflamation in the development of hypertention.
