Abstract
Objective To study the relationship among prehypertension, serum uric acid and C-reactive protein(CRP) and clinical significance. Methods The OPD physical-exam persons(n=176) in 2010 were chosen and divided into the normal group(n=56),prehypertension group(n=66) and hypertension group(n=54).The levels of serum uric acid(UA),CRP,total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG),high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C),low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),body mass index(BMI) and fasting plasma glucose were detected. The influences of UA and CRP on blood pressure were analysed by using multiple linear stepwise regression. Results ①The comparison of levels of TC,TG,LDL-C,HDL-C,BMI,FBG,systolic blood pressure(SBP) and diastolic blood pressure(DBP) among three groups showed that the difference was significant statistically(all P0.01).②The levels of serum UA and CRP were higher in the prehypertension group than those in the normal group(P0.01),and lower than those in the hypertension group(P0.01).③The result of multiple linear stepwise regression showed that UA and CRP were, respectively, correlated to SBP and DBP independently(P0.05~P0.01).Conclusion The patients with prehypertension have higher levels of UA and CRP,which are correlated to blood pressure independently.
