Brief Study on the Huizhou Patriarchal Clan's Educational Activities in Ming and Qing Dynasties

In the Ming and Qing Dynasties,the Patriarchal Clans in Huizhou paid much attention to(education).They set up many kinds of patriarchal schools,civilian associations and the academies of classical learning.In addition,they also engaged outstanding teachers,and subsided the poor juniors of the patriarchal clans.These educational measures of the patriarchal clans guaranteed the cultural and economical prosperity in Huizhou.
