Abstract

Apanteles longicaudatus You et Zhou, sp. nov. (Figs 1-3)This species belongs to the grandiculus group (Nixon, 1965), and is closely related to A. grandiculus Wilkinson, but differs from the latter in that 1) the antennae are almost shorter than the body with the preapical segment almost three times as long as wide; 2) the ovipositor sheaths are fully two and half times as long as the hind tibia and the ovipositor is without a week apical sinuation.Length: (?)5.4mm, ovipositor 4.4mm; (?) 4.0mm.Host: Larvae of Synanthedon sp. (Aegeridae, Lepidoptera), collected on the tree, Pse udo sassafras sp.Holotype (?),allotype (?) , Jing'an(28.5°?N, 115.7°?E), Jiangxi Province, 1982-Ⅵ-9,collected by Sheng Jinkun. Paratype: 2 (?) (?) 4 (?) (?), same as holotype. Apanteles compressiabdominis You et Tong, sp. nov. (Figs 4-5).This species belongs to the merula group (Nixon, 1965), and is similar to A. myeloenta Wilkinson, but differs from the latter in that 1) the flagellum of the female are slightly longer than the combined length of the throax and abdomen: 2) the ovipositor sheaths are shorter than the combined length of hind tibia and tarsus; 3) the hypopygium is narrow and sclerotized; and 4) the morphological characteristics of the basal tergites of the abdomen are different.Length: (?) 3.6mm, ovipositor 2.4mm.Holotype (?)., Liuyang (28.10°?N, 107°?E), Hunan Province, 1985-Ⅵ-20, collected by Tong Xinwang.
