Effect of modified Xuanfu Daizhe Decoction in treating intractable singultus induced by chemotherapy

Abstract

Objective:To assess the therapeutic effect and toxicity of modified Xuanfu Daizhe Decoction in treating intractable singultus induced by chemotherapy(ISIBC). Methods: The patients took orally modified Xuanfu Daizhe Decoction to treat ISIBC. Results: After treatment of one to two cycles, in 22 patients the complete respose occurred in fourteen cases and partial respose five cases,two cases no changed.The respose time was from one to five days after treatment,mean time of appearing partial respose was 2.6 days,and complete respose was 3.8 days.All patients did not occur obvious toxicity. Conclusion: Modified Xuanfu Daizhe Decoction was effective to ISIBC,and might avoid serious toxicity induced by high-dose Paspertin
