Expression and significance of SUrvivin and PIEN in epithelial ovarian tumors

Objective To investigate the expression and significance of Survivin and PIEN in epithelial ovarian tumors.Methods Immunohistochemical detection of PTEN and Survivin in 52 cases of epithelial ovarian cancer,20 cases of benign ovarian epithelial tumors and 18 normal ovarian tissue in rats.Results In normal ovarian tissues Survivin protein expression in non-benign epithelial ovarian tumors and epithelial ovarian cancer in the Survivin protein expression rates were 26.32%(5/19),66.67%(30/45),epithelial ovarian cancer in the Survivin protein expression was significantly higher than that of normal ovarian and benign epithelial ovarian tumor group,the difference was significant(P0.05);PTEN protein in normal ovarian tissue,benign epithelial ovarian tumors and epithelial ovarian carcinoma were 100.0%(18/18),95.0%(20/19),38.5%(20/52).PTEN protein in normal ovarian tissues and benign epithelial ovarian expression of swelling was higher than that of epithelial ovarian cancer(all P0.01).Conclusions PTEN expression was decreased and increased expression of Survivin and related to the occurrence of epithelial ovarian cancer,the detection of ovarian cancer patients Survivin and PIEN expression for the evaluation of malignancy,and prognosis has important clinical value.
