Evaluation of Spiral CT in the Diagnosis of Aortic Dissection

Abstract

Objective To evaluate the diagnosis of aortic dissection with spiral CT.Methods Plain spiral CT scan were performed in 12 patients,including 10 cases who were examinated with enhanced spiral CT,then the source images were reconstructed with multiplanar reformation(MPR) and three-dimenticnal surface shadow display(SSD) image reconstruction.Results Spiral CT could excellently demonstrated the characteristics of aortic dissection.Conclusion Spiral CT an offer more information for surgical operation, Spiral CT scanning is an ideal imaging method for the diagnosis of aortic dissection.
