Abstract
Objective To study the expression and significance of CD44v6 in non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC). Methods The expression of CD44v6 was detected by immunohistochemical method in 55 patients with NSCLC and 20 specimens of normal lung tissues. Its correlations with clinical stages, pathological types, metastatic states of lymph nodes and survival rate were studied. Results The expression of CD44v6 in tissues of NSCLC was significantly higher than that in paracancer. The rate of positive expression of CD44v6 had a significant correlation with PTNM and lymph node metastasis in tissues of NSCLC. The rate of positive expression of CD44v6 had negative correlation with the to survival rate. Conclusion The high expression of CD44v6 may have a correlation with the development and lymph node metastasis and prognosis of NSCLC. The expression of CD44v6 may be taken as a guideline for predicting the potentiality of lymph node metastasis and prognosis in patients of NSCLC.
