Abstract
Objective To study the expression and significance of CD44v6 in lung cancer(LC).Methods The expression of CD44v6 was detected by immunohistochemical method in 60 patients with lung cancer and 20 cases of normal lung tissues. Its correlations with clinical stages, pathological types, metastatic states of lymph nodes were studied. Results The expression of CD44v6 in the tissues of LC was significantly higher than that in the paracancer. The rate of positive expression of CD44v6 had a significant relationship with PTNM and lymph node metastasis in the tissues of LC.Conclusion The high expression of CD44v6 may have a correlation with the development and lymph node metastasis and prognosis of lung cancer. The expression of CD44v6 may be as a guideline for predicting the potentiality of lymph node metastasis and prognosis in patients with lung cancer.
