Investigation of the utilization of community health services and satisfaction degree of community residents in Urumqi city

OBJECTIVE To learn the utilization of community health services(CHS)and satisfaction degree of community residents in Urumqi city so as to provide evidence for policy and measure of CHS.METHODS Stratified randomly sampling was taken in questionnaire survey of 600 residents visiting CHS centers(stations)in Urumqi city.RESULTS(1)The rate of owning various kinds medical insurance of residents were high.The main reasons of selecting CHS included convenience of visiting(90.3%),service attitude(70.0%)and medical insurance(64.0%).Receiving medicine was the main type of residents visiting CHS.The rate of visiting CHS within 2 times was 34.0% and 29.2% above 6 times.The awareness rate of residents to community public health services was 76.0%.(2)The general satisfaction rate of the residents in Urumqi city on CHS was 73.4%.The satisfaction rates on waiting time,service attitude,degree of being respected were high,but the satisfactions rates on the environment of treatment,equipment conditions,prices of service and medicine were low.CONCLUSION The users' utilization of medical care and public health care are imbalance,the general satisfaction degree is not high and individual server could be improved.The government should increase investment and propaganda to improve the development of CHS.
