Abstract
Objective:To investigate the effect of Xuezhikang on two indexes used to assess vascular endothelial function in patients with hypertension combined with hyperlipidemia.Methods:120 cases of patients with hypertension combined with hyperlipidemia were randomly divided into control group and treatment group.Control group(60 cases) was administered conventional antihypertensive therapy,treatment group(60 cases) was given Xuezhikang,twice daily,0.6 g one time on the base of control group.The levels of lipids,nitrogen monoxidum(NO) and von willebrand factor(vWF) were measured before and after treatment.Results:After 8 weeks treatment,the levels of NO increased significantly and vWF decreased significantly(P0.01),in treatment group while the level of lipids improved at the same time and there was a significactly difference(P0.01).Conclusion:Xuezhikang can improve the lever of No and vWF used to assess vascular en-dothelial function in patients with hypertension combined with hyperlipidemia,which may protect the function of vascular endothelial.
