Abstract

Objective: To explore the effect of Xuezhikang on blood liquids level and vascular endothelial function of patients with hyperlipidemia. Methods: 90 cases with hyperlipidemia were divided randomly into observation group (45 cases) and contrast group (45 cases). The observation group took orally Xuezhikang capsules with 1.2g/d for 8 weeks, and the ontrast group took orally Pravachol tablets with 20mg/d for 8 weeks. Blood level of TG, TC, LDL-C, HLD-C, ET and NO were tested before and after treatment. Results: After treatment TG, TC, LDL-C and ET of both groups were decreased and HDL-C and NO increased. And the change had significant difference ( P 0.01 or ( P 0.05). Compared with that of treatment group, the decrease of TG, TC and LDL-C and increase of HDL-C had scarcely significant difference, while the decrease of ET and increase of NO had significant difference ( P 0.05).Conclusion: Xuezhikang can adjust the abnormal blood liquids and improve the end othelial function of patients with hyperlipidemia. The effect of Xuezhikang (1.2g/d) is similar to that of pravachol (20mg/d) in adjusting blood liquids, but stronger than the later in improving endothelial function.
