Abstract
To investigate the indoor air pollution in newly decorated rooms, this study determined the concentration of formaldehyde and ammonia in the indoor air in 12 newly decorated flats with 47 samples. The qualification rate of formaldehyde concentration was only 21.3%, and the rooms with furniture had the lowest qualification rate. The decorative materials (wood-based board) which may release formaldehyde are overused and, as a result, indoor air formaldehyde pollution is serious in newly decorated flats.
