Abstract
Objective To evaluate the expression of nuclear factor kappaB(NF-κB)and hypoxia-inducible factor1α(HIF-1α)in placenta during the course of preeclampsia(PE)and their relationship during the course of PE.Methods The expression of NF-κB p65 and HIF-1αin placenta of PE women and healthy pregnant women was analysised with immunohistochemistry and reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR).Results ①RT-PCR:The expression of NF-κB p65 mRNA in placenta of PE was not stronger than that of control group(P0.05);The expression of HIF-1αmRNA in placenta of PE was stronger than that of control group(P0.05),and there was stronger expression in severe PE than that in mild PE(P0.05).Immunohistochemistry:Both the expression of NF-κB p65 and HIF-1αin placenta of PE were stronger than that of control group(P0.05),and there were stronger expression in severe PE than that in mild PE(P0.05).③There was correlation between the activity of NF-κB and the expression of HIF-1αin placenta of PE.Conclusion It suggests that NF-κB and HIF-1αparticipate in the pathogenesis of preeclampsia.Increasing NF-κB activity in placenta induces HIF-1αexpression,which leads to futher patho-physiological changes.
