Abstract
Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy, safety and benefits of the laparoscopic treatment of ovarian cysts. Methods A retrospective study on the implementation of laparoscopic treatment on cases of ovarian cysts from March 2006 to June 2009. 62 cases were performed with laparoscopic surgery and 54 cases were performed with laparotomy. Then clinical data of the two groups were compared, such as operative time, operative blood loss, postoperative ventilation time, get out of bed time, body temperature recovery time, white blood cell recovery time, hospitalization time, postoperative analgesia pump use,and surgical success rate and complication rate. Results The success rate of the two groups were 100% and the success rate and postoperative complication rate were no statistical significance ( P 0. 05) ; but seen as a barometer,of other clinical efficacy, laparoscopic treatment group was significantly superior to laparotomy treatment group and the difference was statistically significant ( P 0. 05). Conclusion Laparoscopic treatment of ovarian cysts has a positive effect, less pain, quick recovery, etc. It is a safe and effective surgical method.
