Abstract
Objective To analyze the irrational drug use in outpatient prescriptions.Methods 49 328 outpatient prescriptions from pharmacy department of our hospital from September 2010 to February 2011 were analyzed.Results The prescriptions of irrational drug use accounted for 8.6%;Irrational drug use was mainly reflected in natural items,skin test,usage,dosage,interaction,mismatch of diagnosis and treatment,etc.Conclusion Appropriate countermeasures should be developed as follows:strengthen the timely update and monitoring of prescription electronic systems,regularly feedback the results of comments to prescribing physicians,train meticulous work style of health workers,etc.It is helpful to promote safe,effective,economical and proper medication by checking prescription of pharmacists.
