Abstract

Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of insulin pump intensive therapy and multiple subcutaneous insulin(aspart 30) injection in newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes. Methods 68 patients and newly diagnosed as type 2 diabetes were randomly divided into two groups, namely, the control group(subcutaneous insulin intensive therapy) with 34 cases and observation group(insulin pump therapy) with 34 cases. Results After two weeks treatment, fasting plasma glucose and 2 h postprandial blood glucose levels decreased markedly in both groups without significant differences between observation group and control group, but the dose of insulin, blood glucose control, the frequency of hypoglycemia in observation group, was significantly lower than those of the control group(P 0.05 or P 0.01).HOMA-IR in both groups significantly reduced after the treatment. Conclusion The clinical efficacy of insulin aspart 30 three-pin subcutaneous injection is comparable with insulin pump in newly diagnosed type 2 diabetics.
