Abstract

Objective To observe the effect of intensive insulin therapy in newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM) effect, provides an effective method for treating newly diagnosed 2T2DM patients. Methods 2008 May ~ 2011 December we treated 156 patients with newly diagnosed type 2 diabetic patients, randomly divided into the observation group 76 cases and control group of 80 cases;the observation group with insulin pump continuous subcutaneous insulin aspart, control group was given before meals and at bedtime insulin aspart subcutaneous injection Novolin N;after 2 weeks of treatment, two groups of outpatient oral hypoglycemic drug treatment for 6 months.Observation of the two groups of fasting blood glucose, postprandial blood glucose, fasting serum C-peptide(C-P),2 h postprandial serum C-peptide(C-P 2h),HbA1c and the incidence of hypoglycemia. Results After 2 weeks,6 months, the observation group the incidence of hypoglycemia were respectively 15.8%,34.2%,lower than that in the control group 35%,61.2%,P0.05,there were no serious hypoglycemia.Released in June after the observation group did not use oral hypoglycemic drugs by strict diet control and exercise in the treatment of blood glucose was 46.1%,higher than 18.8% in the control group(15/80),P0.05.Compared with before treatment,2 week hospitalization, outpatient treatment after 6 months of two groups of FBG,PG 2h,HbA1C were decreased(P0.01),fasting serum C-P,C-P 2h increased(P0.01).Conclusion Short-term intensive insulin pump treatment of newly diagnosed T2DM,faster,more smoothly to control blood glucose, and can improve the function of islet beta cells.
