Quantitative study of Berberine Hydrochloride in Powdered Traditional Chinese Medicine

Abstract

Objective To determine the content of Berberine hydrochloride in Powdered Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).Methods Using TLC -scanning to determine the content of Berberine hydrochloride.Results Berberine hydrochloride showed a good linear relationgship at a range of1-6μg,r=0.9975.The average recovery rate was97.95%,and RSD was2.36%.Conclusion The methods are accurate and can be used for the quality control of Powdered TCM.
