Abstract
By discussing the correlation of sea-island cotton yield and quality characters,measuring seven yield characters and seven fiber quality characters derived from sea-island xinhai 3 and jiza 82,using the statistical analysis software,doing canonical correlation analysis and the restoring menstrual analysis of that,the correlation factors of the yield characters and fiber quality characters were nailed down.The results showed that when material with high lint percentage is selected,not only the lint yield but also the fiber length,fiber elongation,fiber strength increase.In the meantime,it could include the micronaire value,that can help improve fiber quality.But at the same time it could decrease fiber length uniformity.The restoring menstrual analysis of yield characters and the lint yield indicate that whatever the direct path coefficient or the net domino offect value,the effect are all boll numberslint percentageboll weight.If particular stress is laid on selecting the boll numbers and lint percentage,yield quality can improve.The restoring menstrual analysis of fiber quality traits and the lint yield showed that fiber strength,fiber length uniformity,and fiber length is the leading factor affecting fiber quality.
