Abstract

Objective:To determine the clinical diagnosis value of tumor supplies group of factors(TSGF) in the racurrence and metastasis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Methods: Serum TSGF level was determined by spectrophototometry in 71 patients with reourrence and metastasis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma and 42 healthy people as control. Results: TSGF level(±s) in recurrent tumors was significantly higher than in healthy control group (68.7±14.1U/ml vs 59.1±3.6U/ml,P0.01),compared with local recurrence, TSGF level was significantly elevated in patients with metastasis tumor(72.0±14.6U/ml vs 64.7±12.6U/ml,P0.05),especially with bone metastasis. Conclusion: TSGF assay is a methed with highly sensitivity and specificity for nasopharyngeal carcinoma, is an important marker in monitoring recurrence and metastasis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
