The Relationships among Perceived Social Support System and Mental Health in College Students

Abstract

In order to investigate the relationships among perceived social support system and mental health in college students,430 college students in Harbin were tested by Social Support Scale and Symptom Check List-90.Results as the enhancement of worth and support,companionship and intimacy,satisfaction with the relationships from the important people negatively correlated with depression,psychoticism,interpersonal sensitivity.The conflict and punishment from the important people of the college students positively correlated with all factors except the addition item in SCL-90.so social support had important effect on the mental health in college students.In college mental health education,social network factors should be cultivated.
