Effect of Supplementary Immunization of Live Attenuated Measles Vaccine in Baoding City in 2010

[Objective]To analyze the effect of supplementary immunization of live attenuated measles in Baoding City.[Methods]The data of measles supplementary immunization,routine immunization,measles antibody levels and measles surveillance system were comprehensively analyzed.[Results]Totally 1 895 988 targeted children received supplementary immunization,the reported coverage rate,the reported coverage rate by age and assessment coverage rate were all over 98%.The baseline children number of this campaign was 11% higher than both annals children number of enlarged program of immunization and statistical children number of bureau of statistics.And the coverage rate of this campaign was 10% higher than that calculated by using annals children number of enlarged program of immunization and statistical children number of Bureau of Statistics.[Conclusion]With successful implementation of measles supplementary immunization in Baoding City,the coverage rate of MV in children aged 8 month~14 years had increased.While,in order to maintain the achievements of measles measles supplementary immunization,to ultimate achieve the goal of eliminating measles in 2012,the routine immunization coverage rate must be raised.
