Clinical Observation on Treating Peptic Ulcer by Kuiyang San

Objective:To observe the therapeutic efficacy of Kuiyang San self making on peptic ulcer. Methods:107 cases of peptic ulcer were treated with Kuiyang San self making(treated group)and 54 cases were treated with Tagamet tablets(control group). Additionally,for taking medicine to observe short term therapeutic efficacy after 30 days and stopping medicine to observe the recurring situation of peptic ulcer after half a year. Results:The total effective rates were 94.39% and 92.59% in treatment group and control group respectively, the cured rates were 86.91% and 83.33% in treatment group and control group respectively, there had no significant differences in short term therapeutic efficacy between two groups(P 0 05 ). The recurring rates of peptic ulcer were 6.45% and 26.67% in treatment group and control group respectively after half a year,there had significant difference in recurring rates between two groups(P 0 05 ).Conclusion:The short term therapeutic efficacy of Kuiyang San on peptic ulcer was similar as Tagamet tablets, but it was better than Tagamet tablets in recurring rates on peptic ulcer.
