Abstract
Objectives To investigate the correlation between C-reactive protein(CRP) and unstable angina pectoris(UAP),and to evaluate the predicting value of CRP in short-term prognosis of UAP.Methods Serum CRP was measured in 71 patients with UAP.According to the levels of CRP,the patients were divided into two groups:CRP≥10 mg/dl(29 cases) and CRP10 mg/dl group(42 cases). Results The levels of CRP in patients with UAP were obviously higher than those of control group. The short-term incidence of heart event in CRP≥10 mg/dl group was obviously higher than that in CRP10 mg/dl group. Conclusion CRP may play an important role in prognostic assessment of UAP.
