A PHARMACODYNAMICS STUDY ON YUYANGNING EXTRACT

Objective:To investigate the preventive and therapeutic effects of Yu Yang Ning Extract(YYNE) on gastric ulcer of rats and mice induced by different methods, and to determine what is the possible mechanism. Methods:Administer drugs preventively ,and then make models of gastric ulcer according to traditional methods . Finally number the ulcer and measure the content of gastric juice、pepsin and the gastric acidity.Results: Yu Yang Ning Extract cannot only inhabit the formation of gastric ulcer of rats induced by pylorus ligature and of mice induced by reserpine, but also promote significantly the acid-induced ulcer′s union. Gastric acidity and the concertration of pepsin were decreased. In addition, YYNE can promote the mice gastrointestinal peristalsis, reduce the body torsion induced by acetic acid. Conclusion: These results suggest that YYNE have the preventive and therapeutic effects on gastric ulcer. The effect may be related to the reduction of gastric juice, the decrease in gastric acidity and the activities of pepsin, the analgesic action,etc.
